A delegation from the Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (HRANI), led by its President by Mr. Garish Oberoi, President, HRANI comprising of members Ms. Renu Thapliyal, Secretary General, HRANI; Ms. Roop Sodhi, Executive Director, Best Western Resort Country Club; Mr. Anuj Soin, General Manager, Radisson Hotel and Mr. Ganesh Mishra, HR Manager, Country Inn & Suites by Radisson recently met with Mr. Vikas Arora, IPS, Police Commissioner of Gurugram. The agenda of the meeting centered on the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to hotel units. Expressing appreciation for the efforts of the police in maintaining law and order in the state, the delegation highlighted concern raised by members in Gurugram and Manesar regarding the discontinuation of NOC issuance. This discontinuation poses challenges in meeting classification norms for star ratings outlined by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. While acknowledging the Department's decision to ease the industry by halting NOC issuance, the delegation urged for a formal order or advisory to streamline the process. They emphasized the importance of NOCs in fulfilling classification criteria, which ultimately enhances Haryana's reputation as a tourist-friendly destination.

The Hon’ble Commissioner gave a positive hearing to the delegation and immediately passed necessary instructions to the Licensing Division to do the needful in the interest of industry.
