HRANI Advocates for Hospitality Sector Concerns

A delegation from the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI) recently engaged in discussions with Delhi's Excise Commissioner, Shri Krishna Mohan Uppu, to address significant concerns within the hospitality sector. During the meeting, HRANI representatives emphasized the necessity of reinstating excise fee payments in two installments and extending payment deadlines by 10 days, considering the constraints posed by short timelines and bank holidays. Additionally, they urged for time to be allocated for license renewals and Transfer Permits (TPs) during this period. Commissioner Uppu responded positively to the delegation's concerns and made favorable decisions. He granted an extension period for the deposit of renewal fees for all Hotel, Club, and Restaurant (HCR) licenses, reinstated the payment of excise fees in two installments, and extended the time for uploading renewed licenses and continuation of TPs during this period.
