As members are aware that an information has been filed under Section 19(1)(a) of the Competition Act, 2002 by Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) against MakeMy Trip India Pvt. Ltd. (MMT), Ibibo Group Private Limited (GoIbibo), collectively referred to as ‘MMT-Go’ and Oravel Stays Private Limited (OYO) alleging contravention of the provisions of Sections 3 and 4 of the Act.

In the said matter I would like to further inform you that Competition Commission of India (CCI) has passed an order on 28.10.2019 & directed the DG to initiate a detailed investigation against MMT-Go and OYO for alleged violation of the provisions of Section 3(4) and section 4 of the Act.

The detailed order dated 28.10.2019 issued by CCI is attached for your perusal.
