Bharat Parv’ event successfully ends today at Red Fort, Delhi

6 Days Parv generated  Patriotic  Mood,  Promote Rich  Cultural  diversity  of India and  to  ensure  participation  of General  Public

'Bharat Parv', celebrating the diverse and fascinating culture, cuisine and handicrafts of country, comes to end today. The event  has been  organized  by the Government  of  India  at  the   Red Fort, Delhi  from  26th to 31st  January, 2018.  The Ministry of Tourism has been  designated  as the nodal  Ministry for the  event.
Smt. Rashmi Verma, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism inaugurated the event. The prime objective  of organizing the event  has been  to  generate  a  patriotic  mood,  promote  the  rich  cultural  diversity  of the country and  to  ensure  wider  participation  of the  general  public.
People in large number attended the festival and celebrated the captivating culture, food and handicraft in the festival, whose focus was "Dekho Apna Desh".  The event has been open for public till 10.00 pm today with free entry.  However, identity proof was needed for the entry.
The highlights of event were Display of Republic Day Parade Tableaux; Performances by the Armed Forces Bands (Static as well as dynamic); A Multi-Cuisine Food Court; Crafts Mela; Cultural Performances from different regions of the country and a Photo Exhibition on the theme "Naya Bharat Hum Karke Rahenge" by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP).
A live 'Cookery Demonstration Area' was set up in the food court to promote cuisines of different States of India. The Food Court had stalls set up by the States/ UTs, National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) showcasing street food from different regions as well as by the Institutes of Hotel Managements and ITDC. The Crafts Mela with 50 stalls showcased the diverse handicrafts of the country, arranged by the State Governments and Ministry of Textiles through the office of the Development Commissioner of Handicrafts. There were Theme State Pavilions where each State is showcasing its strength along with its tourism products.
