HRANI takes up the industry concerns with Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India
A delegation led by Mr. Surendra Kumar Jaiswal, President HRANI, comprising of MC Members Mr. Vinod Gulati, Mr. Vineet Taing, along with Mrs Renu Thapliyal, Secretary General, HRANI and Mrs Meena Bhatia, Vice President and General Manager, Le Meridien met Sh. Prahlad Singh Patel, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Tourism, and Sh. Yogendra Tripathi, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India on February 11, 2020.

On the matter of issuance / reissuance of Commercial Airport Entry permits (AEP), the delegation requested the Hon'ble Minister and the Secretary to take up the matter with Minstry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. The delegation also submitted the ministry to include hotels for the extension of Commercial AEP till March 31, 2020. The Ministry was also requested to intervene and take up the matter of copyright with the Ministry of Commerce and industry. Detailed representations on both the subjects were submitted to the Ministry by the delegation. The Hon'ble Minister and the Secretary gave a patient and positive hearing.

"We are hopeful that MoT will take up the matter with Ministry of Civil Aviation and the concern of hotels will be resolved said Surendra Kumar Jaiswal, President, HRANI & Vice President, FHRAI.
6th HRANI Conclave in Katra (J &K) in March 2020
The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India has announcedits next Conclave which will take place in Katra, Jammu & Kashmir in the month of March, 2020. Sh. M.P. Mall, Chairman and Managing Director, IRCTC will be gracing the event. The conclave will be held in the third week of March. The details regarding the same will follow soon.
Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India hosts its 36th Food Safety Supervisor Training and Certificate Session in New Delhi
The 36th Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) programme was organised by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI) in New Delhi recently. The objective of the session was to train the hospitality aspirants in food safety. The full strength of a class, with 40 participants, attended the training session.

The faculty of the session was Vikas Gupta, professor, Amity University Noida. He informed the participants onvarious aspects and procedures to keep food safe and the policy frame work per taining to the Food Safety and Standards Act and law.

"I would like to thank HRANI for this initiative. The workshop was very informative and comprehensive. It will go a long way in instilling awareness on food safety," said Suresh Kumar Rohila, a participant from The Umrao.

"It was heartening to see a good turn out of HRANI members in the session. Food safety has assumed a crucial rolein the wake of increasing urbanisation, pollution and changing lifestyles of population," said Surendra Kumar Jaiswal, president, HRANI.

"We have been conducting the FoSTaC programmes for the last three years in different cities of Northern India. Two of the next three training programmes are scheduled to take place in Jodhpur (at Chandra Imperial on March 14 and 15, 2020), and the third will take place in Shimla (at The Oberoi Cecil on March 28, 2020)," said Renu Thapliyal, secretary general, HRANI.

"We plan on continuing to host these programmes in series so that maximum hospitality professionals from our member units can benefit from it," she added.

HRANI is the lead training partner for the organised sector in the northern region empanelled by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). It has been conducting the programmes in all nine states on a rotation basis to facilitate the members of the association. ....Read More
